Christine reports on BarkWorld
Little did I know four years ago when I moved from south downtown Miami to north of the Miami River, that I would be feeding stray cats, trapping them, and educating neighbors to get them involved and increase awareness. Then with each passing day as I walked the neighborhood looking for other stray cats, I discovered abandoned dogs in downtown Miami. The situation was getting worse, not better. The more I delved into the world of homeless pets, the more I felt compelled to make a difference. Hence, Pawsitively Humane, Inc was born as a local effort to get to the root of the problem.
So instead of vacations, I now attend conferences to combine learning, networking, and a little fun. Last week I attended my second conference for the year. I am excited to report about my experience at BarkWorld, a national social media pet conference.
Here I had the opportunity as a feral cat expert and blogger for Riverfront Cats and founder of Pawsitively Humane, Inc to meet a number of pet related companies that are joining forces with bloggers to help pets nationwide with a number of pet-related issues.

There's so much to share about the work and partnerships between these companies, the bloggers and communities that I decided to share highlights in upcoming posts. So stay tuned! Along the way we'll host a giveaway contest.
